HERE IT IS!!! THE FABLED (since Tuesday) GIVEAWAY! And you guessed it right (with a small hint from me), I’m giving away BioShock Infinite for PC! Ok, so I realise that a lot of you have probably played this by now, but I think it’s a tragedy that some of you haven’t yet. So if you were saving up to buy this or just hadn’t gotten around to picking it up, now you have no excuse! I wanted to give you guys something special to thank you for supporting my blog and if you’ve read my review on it, you’ll know that I think BioShock Infinite is the best game I’ve played this year (I haven’t played The Last of Us yet, so I can’t compare).
I won’t go into too much detail about it, since I’ve written a whole review about it here, so for more details check out that post. In short, it’s about a PI, Booker DeWitt, who goes to Columbia, the floating city in the sky, to find a girl imprisoned there in order to fulfill a debt. I don’t want to give anything else away, because as I’ve said before, the story is the best part and I want to leave you to unravel it for yourself!
BioShock Infinite has been making waves since it came out and received widespread critical acclaim. If you’re like me and you like first-person shooters with intricate stories, you’ll probably like BioShock Infinite. It doesn’t hurt that this game is incredibly easy on the eyes and ears. At the very least, you’ll get to see what everyone’s been raving about.

Personally I find the simplified storyline of Left 4 Dead to be kind of my favorite. The simplicity of the story being almost entirely carried by one liners and strange scrawlings on the wall make me intrigued as to what has happened before your group got there. Not to mention when the storylines between the two groups converge.
That’s an interesting choice! There is definitely something intriguing in the way the story of L4D is told. Most of it seems to be told through hints and you’re left to fill in the blanks with your imagination. I haven’t played L4D2 yet, but I’m definitely looking forward to it. Good choice!
While I would normally say that the Mass Effect series is the best (because it is :D) I’m going to go with a different choice today and that my favorite story is that of the newer Tomb Raider reboot. As a huge fan of the series in the past, I found the reboot to be a fantastic new take on Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider series in general. The storyline was really well done and kept with the typical Tomb Raider type storylines involving the border between science and myth, begging questions from both Lara and the player and taking everyone on a wild ride. The new take on LC was absolutely mind-blowing for me, and Camilla Luddington did a great job at giving her life and emotion, unlike past LC’s. Overall, it was one of the best games I have ever played and really made me proud to be a Tomb Raider fan!

I agree with you about Mass Effect’s story being awesome. 🙂 That’s interesting to hear from a long time LC fan. I haven’t played it yet and to be honest, I’ve never played any of the games! They never appealed to me that much, even though I’d heard good things about the series. This is actually the first time an installment has really drawn my interest. It does seem (from my limited knowledge of the series and from what everyone’s been saying about it) that it was definitely a re-imagining of the character in a lot of ways and fleshed out her story a lot more, but I’m glad to hear it’s kept many of the features that drew people to the series in the first place. I’m definitely looking forward to trying it out!

There have been some great stories in games this generation and a few of my favorites are: Red Dead Redemption, Portal 2, Last of Us, and The Walking Dead.
Rockstar made one of the greatest video game characters ever imo with RDR’s John Marston and his journey from crooked bandit to loving family man and his quest to keep his new normal life intact was a story worth seeing through to the end.
Portal 2 had the honor of fleshing out its few characters and breathing some extra life into its mysterious world and the ending was truly fantastic. The Last of Us is one of the most human stories in gaming its depiction of both the good and evil of human nature made for both a brutal and beautiful story. And last, Telltale pulled off a tough task; allowing gamers to create their own story and making one that was heartfelt, cruel, and full of genuine surprises.
I have already played and reviewed Bioshock: Infinite, so I do not want entry into the contest, but I appreciate you offering up such a nice prize and congrats again on the success.

I totally agree with you about Portal 2. I honestly wasn’t sure if they were going to be do anything fresh with it after the original Portal, especially not with the length that it was, but I was completely blown away when I played it. I love what they did with the few characters that they had and I thought the ending was great too. 🙂

I think there are so many games with great stories that have come out recently, but the story that sticks out the most for me is the first Bioshock. I’ve never felt so immersed in a game’s story before as with that game; I felt like I couldn’t just stop playing the game, and I kind of felt sad when it was over and wanted more. The combination of the unique setting, atmosphere, twists to the story and of course, some really addicting gameplay made it one of my favorite games of all time. I’ve heard the story of Bioshock Infinite is really great too, and I look forward to playing it sometime(hopefully I can win it :D).

I’ve heard good things about the first BIoShock, although I haven’t played it myself. That’s definitely a good sign for a game – that you feel sad when it’s over and want more. I think only a few games have really done that for me – Mass Effect, Far Cry 3 and BioShock Infinite are the ones that come to mind immediately. Being a BioShock fan anyway, I’m sure you’d enjoy playing Infinite! Good luck with winning it! 🙂

Turns out I’ve just finished playing The Walking Dead, and I can’t find a better fit for the question than the story developed in this game. The amazing thing about it is that wether you’re familiar or not with the comic or even with anything zombie-related, the characters and the story that is told to the players are so accurately defined that after the first 30 minutes of gamplay I was already fully-immersed in it, perfectly understanding my role as Lee. In my opinion this is one of the best examples on how to create a world in which everything feels as real as if it was bound to actually happen in real life. Few games have made me feel more identified with the emotions the characters experience, and yet again this is also achieved through a superb story design.
I haven’t played the game yet or read the comic, but I’m a huge zombie fan and also pretty obsessed with The Walking Dead TV series, so I can’t wait to try out the game. I’ve heard that the story is even better for than the show’s. It sounds pretty awesome! I’m looking forward to see what’s got everyone so excited. 🙂

My best story has been Dead Space 2 and Deus Ex : human revolultion . both have great storyline with twist. The Walking dead also has great one but my favorite is still Deus Ex : Human Revolultion
I’ve only played the original Deus Ex, which I loved, but I heard Human Revolution is even better. I’m looking forward to checking it out!
